Launched on 1 July 2006, Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd is a dynamic film distribution and acquisition company led by Sean Rothsey, Jeff Harrington and Scott Clayton. As a result oriented and bottom line focused company, Horizon One Entertainment is acquiring art house, foreign language and independent films, commercially driven studio level feature films, exploitable brands, genre driven DTV titles, documentaries, sports titles and back catalogue libraries.
Horizon One Entertainment is continually building on its existing film licenses, which includes the Pinefilm library (through cross shareholding), creating profitable economies of scale through the consolidation of film libraries. The company is continually adding to their library with many more quality film productions in their sights, Horizon One Entertainment is on track to build a significant asset.
Originally with a focus on the Australian theatrical, home entertainment, television and new technology revenue streams, Horizon One Entertainment is forming strong, strategic alliances that have allowed them to transition into other territories around the world including New Zealand, the domestic market in the USA, Canada and UK. An all rights multi picture distribution pact with 20th Century Fox for studio level theatrical releases also has them well placed to be a preferential distributor amongst the sales agents.
