Universal Soldier - Regeneration
With stolen top-secret technology, terrorists have created a next-generation Universal Soldier - an elite fighter genetically altered into a programmable killing machine. With this “UniSol” (Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski) leading the way, they seize the crippled Chernobyl nuclear reactor, threatening to unleash a lethal radioactive cloud.
The only one who can stop them is Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a UniSol who’s been decommissioned for years. Reactivated and retrained, Deveraux must make a full-out assault on the heavily armed fortress. But inside, he’ll discover not one but two of these virtually indestructible warriors.
Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren), Deveraux’s vicious UniSol enemy from the original Universal Soldier, has been secretly reanimated and upgraded. Now, these elite fighters are locked, loaded and programmed to kill; and the fate of millions hinges on this high-action showdown.
Rise of the Gargoyles
This chilling thriller follows Jack (Eric Balfour from TV’s 24), an American professor in Paris researching the underground catacombs of a mysterious condemned church. When a series of bizarre killings catches the interest of tabloid reporter Nicole, Jack and Nicole work together to understand and stop a nightmarish reality - a still-living creature has been unleashed from the catacombs on a satanic path to Judgment Day.
Starring Eric Balfour, Caroline Neron and Nick Mancuso.
Alice
Alice the TV mini-series is one that almost passed by me unnoticed when it aired on television in two parts on Sunday, December 6, 2009. A total of four hours of viewing, it premiered in two, two-hour segments.
This Alice movie is a modern interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s books and as such, is an unusual look into Alice in Wonderland’s world, starring Caterina Scorsone, Andrew Lee Potts, Matt Frewer, Philip Winchester, Tim Curry and even features Kathy Bates in a guest spot.
This Alice is twenty-one years old. She meets a gentlemen who presents here with his family ring and then is kidnapped. Alice then finds herself facing a stranger known as the White Rabbit who promises to help. Alice enters Wonderland which, in this movie is a highly untypical underground city. Word circulates that Alice is in Wonderland and it turns out that the ring is the one that controls the power of the Queen of Hearts, the looking glass. Why did Jack, the son of the Queen, give Alice the ring? She’s soon to find out.
It features some action sequences, a bit of romance and a good dose of surreality. It is an unusual movie that is definitely bizarre and quite unique. Many viewers found it entertaining and worth owning even after they had watched it on television.
The Phantom
Young urban daredevil Kit Walker finds himself recruited by a secret organisation, unveiling a heritage he never could have dreamed possible. Revered as the twenty-first “ghost who walks,” he must now uphold and honour his ancestors’ creed—to fight crime and injustice throughout the world. But it’s a new world out there, and going up against high-tech savvy criminals will take training and discipline unlike anything bestowed on the Phantom.
Starrring Ryan Carnes, Isabella Rossellini and Cameron Gooman.
UFC Tough - Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights
This is literally the biggest season in the history of the hit reality show “The Ultimate Fighter,” as UFC superstars Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Suga” Rashad Evans lead 16 heavyweights, including Kimbo Slice, former IFL champion Roy Nelson, and NFL veterans Marcus Jones, Matt Mitrione, Brendan Schaub, and Wes Shivers, through an intense six-week competition that will earn one of them a UFC contract. Also contains the full season finale including all preliminary fights and other never before aired footage.
UFC 106 - Oritz V Griffin
In 2006, UFC superstars Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin engaged in a memorable battle of the ages. On Saturday, November 21st, they finally meet again in the main event of UFC 106, with Ortiz looking to make an immediate impact in his return to the Octagon and Griffin trying to settle the score with “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy.” Also, two of the hardest hitting welterweights in the world, Josh Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, square off in a match that will lead the winner closer to a shot at the title.
UFC 107 -Penn V Sanchez
Unbeaten at 155 pounds for nearly eight years, BJ Penn has\ ruled the lightweight division with an iron fist, but in the main event of UFC 107 in Memphis, Tennessee, “The Prodigy” faces a challenger as willing as he is to leave it all on the line in The Ultimate Fighter season one winner Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez. Plus, two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir returns to the Octagon to begin his quest for a third title against ferocious striker Cheick Kongo, and lightweights Kenny Florian and Clay Guida slug it out in a pivotal battle of top contenders.
