Scott Clayton - President - Acquisitions and Distribution

As President of Acquisitions and Distribution he oversees the tracking, evaluation, acquisition and the distribution placement of all films considered by Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd.
Since 1994, Scott has been successfully forging strong strategic alliances with independent and studio based companies, both in Australia and overseas. He has partnered on a number of major movie releases through Paramount, Sony, Fox and MRA. Also acting as a consultant to Video Ezy (Australia’s largest video rental franchise), Scott was actively involved in acquiring film rights on their behalf for the exclusive to Video Ezy release program.
Business and movie savvy, Scott is a visionary who has a solid and proven track record within the entertainment industry and a natural ability for thinking out side the square.
Jeff Harrington - President - Distribution, Sales and Marketing

Before joining Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd as co-founder and director, Jeff Harrington was Head Buyer at Video Ezy (Australia’s largest video rental franchise). A 20 year veteran at Video Ezy, Jeff was instrumental in many key marketing and copy depth programs which play an integral role in the evolution of the Australian rental market. His reputation and influence within the industry is infamous.
After opening many Video Ezy stores, building them up and then selling them off, Jeff and his partners (at the time) set up Blue Flame Marketing. With an impressive clientele, Blue Flame Marketing secured Video Ezy as one of their major accounts with a marketing budget of A$12M per annum. Blue Flame Marketing proved to be an innovative company boasting the implementation of the worlds first Movie Guarantee and various revolutionary Database Marketing initiatives.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma in Education from University of Western Sydney.
Sean Rothsey - Consultant

As Consultant to Horizon through Pinefilm Entertainment Pty Ltd , original co - founder Sean Rothsey continues to add considerable skills and value to Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd. An exceptional mediator and negotiator, his success as a director has been reflected in many industries.
Sean has substantial worldwide influence, experience and connections in shipping and transport, trading, financial and accounting professions, legal, insurance and underwriting industries, retail and private banking, film entertainment and marketing.
Sean’s experience with the successful Pinefilm has previously enabled Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd to identify opportunities and develop financial relations. Pinefilm emerged as a major indie player in 1999 and 2000. Their strong catalogue of releases in Australia include the hits Saving Grace, Maybe Baby, Onegin and Gods and Monsters.
Consulting to our Board and advisors Sean adds value to the company’s infrastructure, finance, business and legal affairs and strategic alliances, Sean is a man of proven repute and integrity
Leisa Clayton - Product Manager

Leisa Clayton joins Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd after spending 15 years working for various studios and independent distributors within Australia. Leisa brings with her a strong skill set in campaign management, trade marketing, packaging design and an in-depth knowledge of the Home Entertainment industry.
Starting her career at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Leisa worked her way through the ranks to Marketing Manager where she worked on diverse range of films including but not limited to: The Fifth Element, Godzilla, Men in Black, Fast & the Furious, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Charlie’s Angels.
Leisa has a Certificate in Advertising and a Diploma in Marketing Management where she received a Highly Commended, Student Award for Marketing Excellence.
Selina Chong - Consultant - Acquisitions and TV Sales

Selina obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne in 1986. Since 1987 Selina has worked, represented or negotiated with leading industry icons such as Golden Communications (Malaysia & Hong Kong), New Line, Miramax, PolyGram, New World, Mutual Films, Summit, Speedy Video Distributors, Force Entertainment, American Video Films, Arclight Films, Voltage Pictures and Warner Bros.
Selina assists Horizon One Entertainment Pty Ltd as a consultant and attends all major film and television markets such as the Cannes Film Festival, AFM, MIP TV and MIPCOM. Selina specialises in the placement of television product for Horizon One and assists Horizon One to aggregate the extensive library of both itself and its partners.
Amy Colley - Executive Assistant to Sean Rothsey

Working her way through the ranks to establish an enviable background in legal and financial professional services, Amy has bought to Pinefilm Entertainment a high level of executive competence and a warm and infectious personality since her commencement in early 2005.
As a commercially astute business woman, Amy is a Proprietor of Pomona Produce & Pet Supplies. She juggles this successful family business venture (along with her husband Wayne who runs the family business day to day while Amy pursues her career with Pinefilm Enteratinment with her demanding and important executive role as Personal and Executive Assistant to Sean Rothsey.
Amy is registered as a Commissioner for Declarations for The Queensland Department of Justice & Attorney General’s Office, a Justice of the Peace and is currently completing her Associate Degree of Law externally at Southern Cross University, Lismore.
Amy concentrates on Financial Control, Treasury Management, Commercial, Business and Legal Affairs, title management, E & O Insurance, Producer Royalty Reporting,and adds value to Horizon through our continuing realtionship with Pinefilm Entertainment Pty Ltd
Trish Rothsey – Executive Assistant - Acquisitions Market Coordinator

Trish began full time work at Pinefilm Entertainment Pty Ltd in early 2006. She has since completed her Certificate III in Business Administration. Trish’s current role includes front office management, financial control and treasury management, foreign exchange dealing, database management, accounts payable and receivable, film title data basing, banking reconciliation, title management, E & O Insurance, Producer Royalty Reporting, records keeping and filing. Trish is also receiving training by, and assisting, Sean and Amy in Commercial Property Management and Financial Planning and Investment Strategies in core portfolios of The Merkin Group - Pinefilm’s parent.
Trish also has a passion for equestrian pursuits and cattle since the tender age of two has led her to gain invaluable agricultural experience on Merkin Pastoral’s Brangus Cattle Station and a performance horse stud on the Sunshine Coast. This has given Trish invaluable experience in working within a team environment where new and interesting challenges are continually encountered. Her duties included, among other things, branding, tagging, halter breaking and handling of livestock, calling for quick thinking and instant reaction, attributes that serve her well in the dynamic Merkin office environment.
John Miles - IT and Online Marketing Manager

Over the last 20 years, John has had a remarkable career and a solid history of marketing success working closely with large corporate and technology companies, providing IT, marketing communication and design services as well as contracting to government agencies as a senior IT developer and advisor.
Having an astute commercial acumen and is well pedigreed in sales and marketing communications know-how, John has held senior marketing and project management roles across many industries including retail, manufacturing, engineering and IT with a strong focus on coordinating the development of corporate and industry marketing strategies, through product design, testing, production, and manufacturing.
John possesses years of practical hands-on experience as a creative director assisting corporate businesses develop strategies and programs to better position themselves with today’s ever changing customers and to capitalize on technology innovations in online commerce and B2B developments.
With the proliferation of online marketing, John has been responsible for concept development and the design and production of a range of projects including corporate identity programs, trade advertising, marketing collateral, direct mail campaigns, print media campaigns, exhibit graphics, online marketing campaigns, transaction and data warehouses database design, web branding and website design.
John is passionate about the internet and internet marketing with a strong focus on Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and Affiliate marketing programs. Working closely with some of the top financial and online trading companies in Australia, John is responsible for developing cost-effective results-driven Internet marketing strategies and corporate identity branding.
John is also a professional graphic designer, animator and pre-press print specialist producing quality digital art for retail, corporate and the sporting organizations. He has been instrumental in the development of highly successful ecommerce, creative marketing campaigns for companies such as Video Ezy, Fujutsu and Rio Tinto and brings a wealth of practical hands-on experience to the group.
Previously an employee of, and currently a consultant to Pinefilm Entertainment Pty Ltd , John has bought considerable expertise to Horizon One.
Barrie Barmes - Director - Revolution Entertainment

Having worked in sales and marketing since 1984, Barrie is a veteran, and respected member of the video industry.
His history includes working with Thorn EMI, Video One and Roadshow Entertainment before starting his own distribution company Leader Home Entertainment.
Barrie’s passion for the entertainment industry continues to grow stronger each month, and he enjoys sharing that with his customers with whom he still loves to visit and communicate with regularly.
His hobbies include playing golf, Texas holdem’ poker, most sports and of course watching movies.
Val Barmes - Director - Revolution Entertainment

Val worked in the travel industry prior to starting Leader Home Entertainment with Barrie.
She brings leadership and focus to the team, and has been responsible for the administration and service side of the business to compliment the sales department.
With the growing team, Val is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that will arise, while still maintaining the relationships she has built up over the years with her customers.
Val enjoys travelling, being with her family and spending time outdoors.
Jenni Barmes - Administration Manager - Revolution Entertainment

After completing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Auckland Jenni has been teaching year 7-10 students at Orewa College.
She has been involved with the movie industry her whole life, working at both Video Ezy and Civic Video before joining her parents to work part time at Leader Home Entertainment.
Jenni brings a depth of industry knowledge and people skills to her role as Administrations Manager. She also has the benefit of seeing the industry from both sides with her previous roles in retail and distribution.
Her interests include movies, sports and spending time with her family.
Jenni plans to begin her Diploma in Business.
Eileen-Rita Folwell - Operations Manager - Revolution Entertainment

Eileen-Rita joins the team as operations manager after eleven years with Auckland based company, The Video Shop, as regional and purchasing manager.
She brings an extensive knowledge of movies and a passion for the industry to the role, together with an understanding of the changing needs and expectations of the market.
In her new role, Eileen-Rita believes developing good communication is crucial to building a strong and healthy industry, and will focus on marketing and promoting monthly releases, working closely with clients on a day-to-day basis.
Eileen-Rita graduated with a diploma in film production from The Auckland Film Institute. She is a keen photographer and directed her first full length documentary in 2006.
Bryan Butler - Sales - Revolution Entertainment

Bryan started life in Wellington NZ. Moving to Auckland in the 70’s he worked as a butcher until 1984, when a change in direction saw him enter the video industry.
Initially in the Retail side, as franchise manager for Video Station, and then a similar position, at Video Update.
Nineteen years ago he moved to the distribution side of the industry, joining Roadshow Entertainment (then Video One), as a Sales Representative. Three years ago, a change in company structure saw the retrenchment of a sales force, and an offer to move into Head Office in an administrative position was accepted.
Retirement loomed in 2008, but an offer from Leader Home Entertainment saw him take up a part time position in sales at the beginning of 2009.
He joins the Revolution Entertainment team as a sales representative.
